The good times.

Each day do something to make you feel happy until this becomes habit.

So I’ve been on a break. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to but I got to have a lovely Easter with my family, see some friends and catch up, hunt for a new home, spend some time with my lovely husband and also some chilling time with Jimmy.

Things at home have been very nice. I have been making a real effort to respond positively to Jimmy when it is my gut reaction to get stressed. Amazingly, it gets easier and easier as he in turn responds to my positive attitude and it has become a good cycle between us. The next challenge is to take all this lovely positive thought and apply it to my life on a working day. I want wonderful week day mornings and I don’t see any reason why not. I hope that in turn he will take it into school as well and really enjoy his days.

With summer approaching fast, I’m really looking forward to finding a nice new spot with a garden. I have to admit the real appeal is the braai thing – I can’t wait to spend time chatting with Patrick while some delicious something or other is cooking away in the background. It’s such a nice social thing and there is nothing better to do in summer. Ah bliss.

Following on from my last post, I had a really good appraisal. It’s nice to know that you are doing something well and although the workload at work is piling on, I am just so thankful every day that I have a job, a decent boss, nice work mates and a bit of cash coming in to boot. I don’t for one minute think I will be doing this for the rest of my life, but this works for now and I’m happy it does.
